B-flute corrugated cardboard
B-flute corrugated cardboard is a packaging material made up of three layers of paper, with a wavy middle layer called flute. The B-flute variation is 3.2mm thick, which makes it a durable and robust material, providing excellent cushioning and thermal insulation. This makes it ideal for packing, organizing, and shipping.
Compared to other types of corrugated cardboard, B-flute cardboard offers superior protection, making it a popular choice for shipping boxes, especially RSC-style boxes. However, B-flute cardboard has 154 ± 10 flutes per meter, which makes it more spongy and reduces its punch resistance performance. It is usually combined with an E-flute to create a more durable duplex corrugated material.
